I've been seeing Dr. Li for about three years. There have been a few times when I was very upset with him. However, when I talked to him directly about the problems, he totally explained to me with empathy and compassion. When I began seeing Dr. Li, he was very cautious about prescribing medications for me because of my family history. I am a 'high risk' patient. I have had two brothers die of overdoses of heroin. But as I followed the limits Dr. Li set and was patient, I was able to build trust between him and me. However, I had to show him that I would only take the meds if I needed it. Sometimes, though something would happen and I had to start again to build that trust. I understand, though. Dr. Li has high standards in following the law! I respect and appreciate that! Rita Birch
