I have no doubt that she is educated and is drawing from experience, but I did not feel heard. I have also read and researched, and I feel like I was told, you can schedule an appointment with your primary care provider to answer your questions. My questions are concerning side effects of a hormone blocker. I get that they are "hell," and that I should do whatever it takes to live. However, the post-chemo care is horrendous. There is a huge gap that needs to be addressed (everywhere)- not just at OU.

Biography

Supriya Koya, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine at the Stephenson Cancer Center. Dr Koya is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology. She earned her doctorate of medicine from the Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama in Montgomery, Ala. Dr Koya is passionate about advancing scientific breakthroughs while providing quality care to all patients, she is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology and serves as an advisor for Genome Insight by Inocras Inc.
