The lack of time and attention during my pre-surgical visits should have been my warning sign! Choosing Dr. Eisig as my surgeon was the biggest mistake of my life.  The surgery was to be basic uncomplicated case of moving my lower jaw 5 mms forward. Dr. Eisig claimed to do hundreds of such cases per year yet during my surgery something went terribly wrong. Was it him or was it one of his residents that actually operated on me?  Instead just forward, my jaw was rotated off center to the left, tilted sideways and tilted under.  3 days after the surgery, I sent videos, insisted that Dr Eisig fixes the position immediately before bones set but he refused. He refused to discuss my case with my orthodontist as well. 1 month later and no changes to my jaw position, I visited  3 other top NYC surgeons to get second opinion who all confirmed that results of my surgery are unacceptable. I went through a year of extreme bite adjustments and thereafter spent $ 17,000 on a private surgeon that was somewhat able to soften the damage Dr.Eisig created. Who could have guessed that a surgeon at such reputable institution as NY Presbyterian could care so little.  Very scary !
