Dr. Gilbert B. Lam, DDS

Dr. Lam and is hygienists were great, but his office staff is horrible at staying in contact and communicating with their patients. I went there originally as a new patient and to ask for a basic cleaning and check up. I was referred to another office in Visalia where they told me a root canal was needed. That office referred me to an out of network office in Fresno, where I had to pay $300 for a visit for them to tell me I need $8000 of work done which would be out of pocket and a root canal was NOT needed. Frustrated, I went back to Dr. Lam's office and let the office staff know of my frustrations being sent out of network, paying $300 out of my pocket just to be told I need $8k of work done, which was an out of network provider. I never recouped my $300 and the lady at Dr. Lam's office told me she would look for a provider that was in network and 8 month's later, nothing ever happened and it took me to continuously follow up and I was trying to be patient with the process the entire time, but eventually gave up. The office told me me it was taking so long because of my insurance provider. Bunch of excuses for office staff that doesn't care about anything but a paycheck. I would not recommend based on the experience with the office staff.
