I saw Dr. Maldonado at the Delray office. I forgot my IDs there and the staff didn't have the courtesy to give me a call after 2 days to let me know that I had forgotten them at the office. The doctor gave me a handwritten MRI prescription, which was a bit puzzling to me. I thought maybe they'll send the formal form to the Imaging Center but they didn't. Since the office number sends you to a call center that only takes messages but don't connect you directly to the office, I had to go back to the office to get the proper order form for the MRI. What got me more upset was when I went for follow up visit to the office in Wellington and was told that I owed money for rescheduling an appointment. I know they charge for rescheduling on the day of the appt, but I was shocked to find out that they charge regardless of the timeframe.

I needed to have a procedure done for herniated and bulging discs.  The doctor's staff did not request authorization for 2+ weeks!  Went back and forth with his staff, via text only and was lied to on a consistent basis.  After 2 weeks, I started to question what happened.  They said it was requested, it was rejected, it was requested, etc.  According to the insurance company, they never received any requests for authorizations until Dec 6 - that's over 2 weeks!   At one point, when I could get thru to a person on the appointment desk, she had the gall to tell me that the authorizations phone line was broken and is always broken, therefore I could not talk to anyone in the Doctor's office re the authorizations.  Now, trying to get the authorization cancelled so that another physician can do the procedure and they have not cancelled those authorizations.  Complaint was put into insurance company and insurance company has filed a complaint as they witnessed themselves what I have been going thru - they had me on the phone line with them and the doc's office.   My family and I decided that this physician's office was not to be trusted.
