After 3 weeks of leaving mesages and ewven knocking on the door to no avail,...  I finally got an appointment with Dr. Berens.  Was scheduled for 2:00 PM 30 Mar 2026.  greated as soon as i entered and handed forms to fill out,,,  Oddly enough, i laughed and commented about the Missed appointment fee or $100... who knew that Dr. Berens would never show up to our first appointment!  wnat a waste of time!  and i only got my co Pay voided!  should have demanded a $100 for my time!!!

Chose this doctor at first because of the positive reviews from the comments, and his convenient location. The first year, I went for a yearly check-up which should be covered 100% by my insurance, but this office carried out arbitrarily check ups that were not covered by the insurance. Bills from labs kept arriving afterwards stating money was being owed due to a physical that was covered 100%. When I confronted the office, I was appalled by the disgusting customer service which did not want to assist their client. Another bill was further sent by Dr. Berens' office claiming some other charges not covered by the insurance.

The second year when I went for my yearly check-up, being very weary of the situation lived the previous year, I asked the front desk if it was natural for extra charges to arrive. They promised that this was not normal, and guaranteed verbally that no charges would be sent this time around. Surprisingly (not) after a couple of weeks from doing the physical check-up that my insurance covers for 100%, the same bills started arriving from the labs, and dr. Berens' office.

I will never go back, be careful of these charges, save a major headache caused by medical injustices and lack of professionalism towards their clients. Dr. Berens is a hypocrite who will bash on other doctors for being driven only by money, but his lack of seriousness in his management reflects exactly what he criticizes most.
